Biography

About Emerald

Emerald Hart

Emerald Hart is a singer, actress, dancer, and educator with a passion for storytelling and creating meaningful connections through the performing arts. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Montana State University Billings.

A lifelong performer, Emerald has been immersed in the arts from an early age. She began dancing at three years old and quickly found herself at home in rehearsal studios, dance classes, and on stage. Whether performing in opera, musical theatre, or straight plays, she is drawn to stories that celebrate the complexity of the human experience and invite audiences to laugh, reflect, and connect.

For Emerald, performing is about more than entertainment—it's about empathy. She believes the arts have a unique ability to bring people together, spark conversation, and remind us of our shared humanity. That same philosophy extends into her work as an educator, where she strives to create welcoming spaces that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Her performance credits include, but are not limited to, Rent (Joanne Jefferson) with The Shane Center for the Performing Arts; Hansel and Gretel (Sandman), Ragtime (Harlem Chorus), Sweeney Todd (Ensemble), La Bohème (Chorus), and Carousel (Ensemble) with Opera Montana; Mary Poppins (Miss Andrew), Annie (Lily St. Regis), and Cabaret (Music Director/Vocal Director) with Montana Theatre Works; and Rock of Ages (Regina), Shrek the Musical (Sugar Plum Fairy/Gingy), and It Shoulda Been You (Annie Sheps) with Billings Studio Theatre.
